We've gone to the beach twice now to try and see dolphins, but haven't seen any yet. The water is still uber cold, but that doesn't stop the boys from playing in it or me from taking my socks and shoes off and walking in it!
I finally got to tour a battle ship, but this one isn't just sitting there as a tourist trap. A guy in our ward is stationed on this ship, which just got back from a 7 month deployment, and hooked up the Cub Scouts with a tour. I went as a chaperone. Sweet!
Went up to DC about a month ago and toured the Air and Space Museum near Millie's casa. It's always free to go in, and if you go after 4:00 parking is free too! Woot!
One of my main reasons for going up to DC was to help Millie paint her room...and rock out to Lady Gaga, of course.
Whilst up there we went with 2 of Millie's friends to a delicious (and insanely expensive) restaurant called Afterwords. Good thing it was yummo food and lovely company, otherwise I would have been very put out that I spent so much.
This is from last fall, but I did go to the Temple this last trip too. The special-ness of it though was I met up with my last roommate, Dello, and we did a session together! So very awesome!
I did go through the temple in December, just in time to be able to attend the sealing of my sisser Kierstin to Christoff! It was amazing and beautiful! Clearly I didn't take enough pictures of my MONTH in Utah. Or rather I have a lot, they are just on my external hard drive and it is all the way like 5 feet away from me in my back pack and I'm comfortably perched on my bed. Later, perhaps.
Way back in November I did post about doing a run in Richmond. It was only an 8k, but it was fun. Nothing all fancy like Elsa and Millie's half marathon or anything, but a big accomplishment for me!
I like to find time to do some baking. I believe Sean and I were making cookies. I mostly end up baking rolls though! I'm basically famous for that!
Welp, there ya have it. Thanks for reading!
