Oh hilarious!

So, I'm pretty sure my siblings will get a kick out of this...

With mom being gone for a while, it was finally time to go shopping for home. Kierstin, Daniel and I went with Dad to get some food, and let's just say, that took a LONG time! Like, at least an hour! So dad was saying how we couldn't get too much stuff, cause he still needed money for gas. So I said, well how much cash do you have with you, and he said $150. (oh, and this conversation took place right before I took this picture!) So dad was getting worried that we were getting too close to that amount. I looked at the cart, and asked "So how much do you think all this is so far?" And he said, "Oh, at least $100 already." And I was like, no, this is probably around $25 or so. And then Daniel came up and gave the exact same amount that I did, and Dad just kept insisting that it was at least $100 already. And we just laughed super super hard! It was a sure sign of how often Dad does NOT go shopping! He seriously thought that everything in this picture would amount to 100 dollars! And then we went to get shampoo! Anna, I'm sure you'll remember a similar experience with dad and shampoo, and I was seriously having flashbacks to that one! I wish I had taken a picture of what he was doing with that. So, Dad's eyes aren't the best right now, and I think his "glasses" got broken, so he was wearing these saftey glasses that are slightly prescripted, and then he was crawling on the floor so he could read how much they each were per oz. and was doing it for like 5 minutes, at least! I had gone to get something else when he started, and I came back and he was crawling, so I went to find Kierstin and was like "What's dad doing?" And she was like, "Is he still crawling around on the floor?" And I said, "yeah!" we just laughed, some more, really hard, at dad! And then he was trying to buy like the 99 cent VO5 stuff, and Kierstin and I were both saying how it doesn't work that well at all, especially for people with....more hair...than you have....longer hair! And we did go through the whole thing with conditioner and how we use it but he doesn't. Oh mercy was it funny! This experience ranks up there with the watering the carpet and mowing the lawn. For reals! So dad settled on some Suave shampoo and was buying 4 of them, and we were like "woah, don't need so many!" And his logic was that prices are going up and this shampoo will be twice as much the next time we come in here. And Kierstin and I were like, "Yeah, the next time YOU come in here, in like a year!" Oh, it was epic! Finally we got to the checkout line and Dad thought we'd have to un-shop because he thought everything would be around $200, but it was around $80 or so! Oh my goodness what a laugh!

And this is just a pic I took of the sunset the other day with my phone. It's not too bad, eh?!?! Welp, there's my update. Still waiting to hear back from the City and the borough on those jobs and looking for other ones in the mean time. I've been doing a lot of kite flying lately though, it's been cool!
Peace!
